Sketching up one of the classic archetypes in storytelling – the hero. The Ugly Duckling is an old fairytale from H.C. Andersen about a misplaced swan egg, and how the little duckling grows up, going through a lot of hardship and trials, before finally turning into a swan

The hero in a story almost always go through some kind of transformation – and the Ugly Duckling Story has become one of the most used examples of this. But the hero is just one of the many archetype characters in storytelling.
